20th bright and hopeful on a fabulous Heritage Walk around Sherburn in Elmet organised by Leeds Civic Trust – fascinating insights followed by hour-long political chat with some of the inspirational residents! Back to the Old Girls School for an afternoon meeting with wonderful constituent and socialist activist Mike Coulson about independent lifeboats, fire service, rivers, unions and Uncle Tom Cobley and all – had to tear myself away.
