Arnold Warneken, Green Party Parliamentary Candidate for Selby & Ainsty, conducted the Yorkshire Remain Voice Choir on Saturday in Leeds city centre, as part of the Stop The Coup March.
The protestors, including members of Selby and District Green Party, met at the Cenotaph at 11am with musical instruments and banners to sing anti-Brexit songs. This event followed a well-attended rally yesterday (Fri 13 Sep) at The Northern Powerhouse
Conference at Magna, Rotherham, where verses of ‘Brexit is a load of Rubbish’ were accompanied by a Yorkshire-based brass ensemble.
“Come and make your voices heard, and speak out to remain in Europe and against the proroguing of our Parliament. The government may have silenced Parliament in the Houses of Commons, but we, the people will not be silenced!”
